Deb holds a Master of Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary and a B.S. in Dramatic Art/Education from Western Maryland College, Westminster, MD. Originally from Oxon Hill, Maryland, she moved to New York City right after college and lived there for 45 years, during which time she worked in key administrative roles for the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, Auburn Theological Seminary, Girl Scout Council of Greater New York (where she was thrilled to direct the Irving Berlin Girl Scout Chorus) and Good Shepherd Services. Prior to moving to Cape Cod, she served three years as Pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church by the Sea in Broad Channel, Queens, New York. Deb and her husband Mike moved to Harwich in October 2017. During her time here she served for more than a year as the Pastoral Assistant at the Federated Church of Orleans, before being called to serve as the Interim Minister here at South Dennis in 2019 (and has loved every minute since)! Currently Deb is serving as the Church Pastor. Deb is also delighted to be a member of the Chatham Chorale and Chatham Chorale Chamber Singers. She and Mike are the parents of two grown children, a son and daughter. She also adores her son-in-law and her totally, absolutely amazing toddler grandson.
